Tuesday's Band
Tuesday’s Band (Tu-ehs-days Band) was destined for something—though no one was quite sure what. A ragtag noise project conjured in 2002 by cousins—Lucas and Yuri—armed with nothing but a battered nylon-string acoustic guitar and a mission to out-stupid punk itself. Two chords max. Zero technique. Pure, unfiltered wankery.
Inspired by Nirvana’s slacker snarl, Supla’s Brazilian garage sneer, Mamonas Assassinas’ absurdist anarchy, and the relentless bullying only cousins can inflict (shoutout to Henrique, aka Nene, the chaotic muse), Tuesday’s Band was a glorious mess. Their "songs" were half-riffs, half-insults, recorded once and lost to time… until now.
Decades later, their long-lost demo has been unearthed by Lucas’ brother Thiago—rescued from the void, raw and ridiculous as ever. The "music" remains gloriously dumb, the vibes still unhinged, but now it’s been dragged kicking and screaming into the light. Is this a revival? A reckoning? Or just proof that some dumb ideas never die?
The chaos returns. The jokes still land (badly). The world is not ready.
Tuesday’s Band rides again.
